Edwin “Eddie” J. Kight, Jr.

     KEYSER, WV – Edwin “Eddie” J. Kight, Jr., 69, of Keyser, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his residence.

     Born on May 25, 1948 at Keyser, he was a son of the late Edwin J. Kight, Sr. and Mary Virginia (Harrison) Kight.

     Eddie retired from BB&T Bank as a Relationship Banker.  He was a 1966 graduate of Keyser High School and a graduate of Catherman’s Business School.   An active member of Grace United Methodist Church, he had taught the youth Sunday school class, serviced as Finance Chairman, Board Member and donated many hours to flower arranging and making decorations for many church activities.  He was a Lay Speaker, often speaking in local churches and the Keyser Hi-Rise.

      Surviving are his sister, DiAnn Kight Fisher of Keyser; his brother, James H. Kight and wife Kathy of Somerset, PA; his nephews, Bryan Fisher and wife Sandy and Nathan Fisher; his nieces, Beth Benedict and husband Jared and Becky Miller and husband Nate.  He is also survived by his great nephews, Bryan Fisher II, Logan Fisher, Tyson Hostetler and his great nieces, Riley Miller, Madelyn Fisher, Aubrey Fisher and Lia Benedict.

      Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 2-4 p.m.   Services will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 4 p.m. with the Reverend Lauren Godwin officiating.

      Private interment will be in Thrush Cemetery, Antioch, WV.
