Woodrow Paul “Woody” Beavers
Keyser, WV - Woodrow Paul “Woody” Beavers, 87, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at his residence.
Born on October 16, 1937 in Keyser, he was the son of the late Elwood R. Beavers and Frances E. (Boehmes) Beavers.
Woody graduated from Bruce High School, retired from Westvaco paper mill and was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a proud and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed by his all who knew him.
Left to cherish in his memory are his loving wife, Joanne R. (Shay) Beavers; his four children, Taunya Reese of Bolivia ,NC, Barbara Niland of Morgantown, WV, Jeff Beavers and Chris Beavers both of Keyser; his brother, Charlie Beavers of Rineyville, KY and his sister, Betty Jean Gates of Hedgesville, WV. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Markwood Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00am. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00am with Pastor Robert Oakley and Reverend Vicki Minnich officiating.
