Vivian Pearl Dawson
Elk Garden, WV – Vivian Pearl Dawson, 92, of Elk Garden, died on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Stonerise, Keyser.
Born on February 12, 1929 in Kitzmiller, she was a daughter of the late Lena Pearl (Sharpless) and George Scott Pugh. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Marshall “Huck” Dawson, four children, David Dawson, James “Jimmy” Dawson, Shirley Lynn Dunithan and Delores Andrews; a brother, Kenneth Buck Knotts; her two sisters, Yvonne David and Donetta Beall and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Iser.
Vivian was a devoted homemaker, whom loved her children dearly. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Surviving are her two daughters, Marlene D. Lucas and husband Gary and Louise Burger; a sister, Wanitta Waybright and her son-in-law, Melvin “Gene” Dunithan. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Nethken Hill United Methodist Church, Elk Garden from 11:00am – 1:00pm. Funeral services will be held immediately after the visitation at 1:00pm with the Reverend Leslie Hipp officiating. Interment will follow services in Kalbaugh Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.
