Obituary for Tiffany Lynn Whetzel
Tiffany Lynn Whetzel, age 37, born on September 4, 1988, peacefully passed from this life into the next on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at UPMC. She was the beloved daughter of Sharon Whetzel of Cumberland and Michael (Shawn) Whetzel, alongside his wife, Carol, of Keyser.
A proud graduate of the Keyser High School Class of 2007, Tiffany later attended the International Beauty School in Cumberland, Maryland, embodying her passion for creativity and beauty. As a devoted homemaker, she cherished the moments spent nurturing her loved ones, especially her two children.
Tiffany had an adventurous spirit, often accompanied by her faithful sidekick, Rocky, the Pomeranian, who brought her much joy and companionship. Halloween was her favorite holiday, a time she embraced with enthusiasm and creativity. A devoted fan of Eminem, she uniquely celebrated her idol by naming her daughter Halie, after Eminem's own daughter.
In addition to her parents, Tiffany leaves behind her cherished children: Halie A. Ronnenberg of Keyser and Hayden Whetzel of Cumberland. She is also survived by her sister, Holly Rice, and her brother, Derek Whetzel, alongside his wife, Brittney and nieces Ava, and Lily. Her family is further enriched by her paternal grandfather, Marvin Whetzel of Keyser, and her maternal grandfather, Dallas and his wife Joyce Bittinger of Swanton. Tiffany's loving spirit will also be remembered by her aunt, Eleanor Bittinger of Swanton, and her special nieces and nephew, Chase Jackson and Taylor Pagayoya.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Tiffany's life at Markwood Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service to honor her memory, officiated by Pastor David Hattenfield, will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Tiffany's vibrant personality and love for her family and friends will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. In this time of sorrow, may we remember her laughter, her kindness, and the love she shared so freely.
