Thomas James "Jimmy” Dorsey

     KEYSER, WV - Thomas James "Jimmy” Dorsey, 64, of Keyser, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 1, 2023 after a long battle with heart and kidney disease.

     Born on September 5, 1959, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence W. Dorsey and Catherine Irene (Arnold) Dorsey.

     Thomas worked as a tree trimmer/ climber, as well as various other Skillful jobs throughout his life. Thomas was a very friendly and loving man. He loved watching Star Trek, going fishing, hunting, and dining out for Chinese. Steak, pork chops, and fried chicken were his favorite. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and his children. He was a Baptist by faith and a frequent member of Gospel Life Baptist Church; when his health allowed him to attend. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

     Left to cherish Jimmy’s memory are his three children, Mary Michael, James Michael and Oneda Dorsey- Murphy; his thirteen grandchildren; two brothers and his two sisters.

     In respecting his wishes, his body will be cremated and there will be no viewing or visitation. A Celebration of Jimmy’s Life will be held at a later date.

     Arrangements have been entrusted in the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
