Sue Ella (Stewart) Lusk, 83, of Keyser, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026. Born on May 17, 1942, in Ritchie County, West Virginia, Sue was the daughter of the late John C. and Melvina “Babe” Stewart.
Sue shared a remarkable life with her devoted husband of 63 years, John B. Lusk. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Marsha Holmes (Gary), Cindy Price (Greg), Steve Sluss, Karen Graziano (Mike), Janet Kinser, Chris Puckett (LaNell), and Mark Lusk; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister-in-law Kathy Muncy (John) and brother-in-law Frank Lusk (Trish). Sue was predeceased by her parents; her brother James “Jim” Pettit (Dutch); her sisters Ollie Lou Pettit, Joan Sluss (Al), and Eleanor Puckett (Milton); her nieces Kathy Jo and Barbara Puckett; and her niece-in-law Kim Sluss.
Sue was a vibrant presence in the Keyser community. She owned and operated the Charisma House Beauty Salon in Keyser for many years, where she not only showcased her talent but also formed lasting connections with those who walked through her doors. Her dedication to public service was evident in her role as past chairman of the Mineral County Democratic Executive Committee. Sue was also an lifetime member of Women of the Moose #191 and a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Keyser.
An avid golfer, Sue found joy on the greens and treasured time spent with dear friends Carol Priddle-Foye, Shelly Purkey, and Susie Homan. Her outgoing nature and warm spirit earned her countless friendships throughout her life. Among these were two particularly special bonds with Pam Brinkman and Cindy Butler—relationships that began when Sue mentored them as young girls and continued to flourish over the years.
Sue’s legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and an unwavering zest for life. Those who knew her were touched by her vibrant personality and genuine care for others. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Markwood Funeral Home 111 S. Mineral St. Family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. to the 1:00 P.M. service time. Internment will be Wednesday, April 22, 2026; 3:00 p.m. in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, West Virginia.
