Steven Price Thrasher

     Piedmont, WV – Steven Price Thrasher, 67, of Piedmont, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at his residence. 

     Born on June 27, 1957 in Ohio, he was the son of the late Gordon L. Thrasher and Janet M. (Shoop) Thrasher. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Gordon “Jimmy” Thrasher and Kevin “Scotty” Thrasher and his sister, Toni McCarty.

     Steven graduated from Keyser High School and was a member of the Rod Gun Club in Westernport.  He was a skilled Carpenter for the David C. Suter, Inc.  Construction Company and served in the United States Army. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

     Left to cherish in his memory are his loving wife, Jeanne Lynne (Schoppert) Thrasher; his children, Steven P. Thrasher, II and Shawn Middleton; his granddaughter, Abigail Middleton and his sisters, Valerie Shillingburg and Robin Dorsey and husband Shaun. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Jenna Thrasher-Sneathen, Jaime Shillingburg, Jennifer Hart, Caitlin Logsdon and Chris Thrasher.

    A Celebration of Steven's Life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Piedmont American Legion Post 52 (Upstairs) at 2:00pm. Private Inurnment will be held in Queens Point Cemetery.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
