Shirley M. Pancake
NEW CREEK, WV – Shirley Marie Pancake, 72, of New Creek, died on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born on July 3, 1935 in Keyser, she was a daughter of the late Morey and Edna (Shears) Lewis. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Spencer and Robert Lewis and two sisters, Betty Hoover and Helen Pennington.
Mrs. Pancake was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Keyser High, Brethren by faith and attended Sunnyside Church of the Brethren. She was a member of VFW Post 6775, Queen’s Point Auxiliary, McCoole, MD.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Eugene “Bud” Pancake; her son Richard E. Pancake, Jr. and wife Tammy and her three grandchildren, R.C. Pancake, Savage Levi Pancake and Cheyenne Summer Pancake, all of New Creek. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Sonny Dodds officiating. Interment will follow in Pancake Cemetery, New Creek, WV.
