Samuel Lee Crites

     Spartanburg, SC – Samuel Lee Crites, 70, of Lyman, passed away on July 5, 2021. Samuel is son of the late Eston and Anna Jane Crites and loving husband of Carol Ann Crites.

     Samuel served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He attended Duncan First Baptist Church and was a member of the CMA- Christian Motorcyclists Association. He loved spending time with family and friends.

     In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Amy L. Hawley (Kevin), Samuel L. Crites II (Sonya) and Andrew R. Crites; his grandchildren, Kaleb Hawley, Isaiah Hawley, Samuel Crites III, Morgan Grace Crites, Merci Crites, and Jeremy Crites; as well as his sisters, Alice Kinyon (Jerry) and Sandra Fisher (Vernon).

     He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Madison Jane Crites and his brother, Roger Leon Crites.

     A service will be held at Duncan First Baptist Church on Friday, July 9, 2021. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM with the service immediately following. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in Potomac Memorial Gardens, 597 Cemetery Road, Keyser, WV  26726 at 1:00 PM and Military Honor will be accorded by the United States Army National Honor Guard.
