Rosemary Huffman Obituary

Rosemary Huffman

Keyser, WV - Rosemary Huffman, 78, of Keyser, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the Dennett Road Manor in Oakland, MD.

Born on March 9, 1946 in Morgantown, WV, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ada Huffman.

Rosemary mostly referred to as “Noni” by her cherished grandchildren and those who knew her well, was an exceptional homemaker. Although she was primarily a homemaker, she also worked outside the home at various times throughout her life, including many forays into the Antiquing business, for which she had a special eye and formerly owned and ran the “Recyclin Rose” Consignment and Ice Cream Shop in downtown Keyser.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was an extremely active and dedicated member of the LDS Church.

Her greatest joy was her family especially her grandkids. She loved following all of her grandkids’ activities and spent hours making glowing comments on Facebook. Noni enjoyed spending time with her grandkids in Ohio and recently in Morgantown. She greatly looked forward to each new theatrical production of her grandsons and spent countless hours in the Keyser and Cumberland theaters. Noni was quite the performer herself, and provided endless entertainment to her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish in her memory are her children, Wayne Lee Mefford and partner Kimberly of Keyser; Lara Lynn Courrier and husband Jay of Keyser and Lance Michael Stalnaker and wife Lorenda of Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Jeweliea Dalton, Justice Courrier, Jaiden Courrier, Jace Courrier, Chloe (Stalnaker) Smith, Zack Stalnaker, Jack Stalnaker, Jake Stalnaker, Lydia Stalnaker and Liam Stalnaker; 3 great-grandchildren, Ayden Spears, Azrealle Spears and Alexandrea Hathaway; 1 great-great granddaughter, Addilyn Hathaway; cousins, Samuel Pancoast, Samuel Pinion, Jr., Billy Semans and her special cousin, Donna Pancoast and husband Johnny of Morgantown and their children, Ricki, Barley and Brian Pancoast. She is also survived by her LDS church family, extended Courrier, Williams and Ack families and her Long-time friends, Alexis Marzzarella and Shirley Hoopengarner.

Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Funeral services will be conducted by Archie “Bill’ Self at the Funeral Home on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 6:00pm. A private family interment will be held in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
