Ronald H. Smith

     KEYSER, WV - Ronald H. Smith, 84, of Keyser, died on Monday, October 4, 2021 at his residence.

     Born on August 31, 1937 in Keyser, he was the son of the late Loraine and Thelma B. (Chaney) Smith. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, James E. Smith, Gary L. Smith and Richard W. Smith and a sister, Evaline Tettenburn.

     Ronald retired from CSX Railroad as a Carman and was a United States Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

     Surviving are his loving wife, Janette L. (Robison) Smith; his children, Brenda Byard and husband Wayde, Darcy Conner and husband John, Devin Smith and wife Shannon, Valerie Starcher and husband Stephen, and Jeffrey Smith and wife Amy; his brother, Robert Smith of Mission, Kansas and his sister, Caroline Tettenburn of Keyser. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Brittany, Kelsey, Connor, Lydia, Frank, Ian, Don, Izzy, Wesley, Reed and Jacob.  

     Due to current health concerns, a private family service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 1:00pm.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
