Robert E. Calhoun
HAGERSTOWN, MD – Robert E. Calhoun, 75, of Hagerstown, MD, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
Born June 11, 1932 in Keyser, he was a son of the late Earl Daniel and Nellie Ethel (Hollen) Calhoun. He was also preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Norma Lee (Bodkin) Calhoun on November 21, 2007.
Mr. Calhoun was a graduate of Keyser High School, attended Potomac State and an U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had been employed as a supervisor at various industries, Eastern Protection in Hagerstown and Capital Records in Winchester, VA. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.
Surviving are his two daughters, Debra C. Markell and husband Wade of Hagerstown and Donna C. Whitt and husband Edward of Clearspring; his grandson, Christopher I. Younker of Clearspring and his sister-in-law, Dorothy V. Bodkin of Rawlings;.
At Mr. Calhoun’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or visitations. Private family services and interment will be in Queen’s Point Cemetery, Keyser, W.Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 North Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
