Richard David “Rich” Roby, Sr.
KEYSER, WV – Richard D. “Rich” Roby, Sr., 76, of Keyser, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born on August 13, 1945 in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Daniel Floyd and Inez (Crabtree) Roby. He was also preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Lee and Laurie O’Haver, who raised him; his loving wife, Carolyn Sue (Faulk) Roby on April 27, 2015; his brother, Daniel Roby and his sister, Margaret “Janie” Parker.
Rich was an employee and member of Iron Workers Union Local 568 and a member of Allegany Baptist Temple, McCoole. He loved the outdoors and the solitary of his own home. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his sons, Richard David Roby, Jr. and wife Tammy, Jeffrey S. Roby and wife Karen and Michael Todd Roby and companion, Mary Roby and his sisters, Billie “Dolly” Parker and Cleo Sullivan. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Amanda Roby, Marcus Roby, Kourtni Roby, Jeffrey S. Roby II and Michaela Roby and his five great-grandchildren, Rachel Bacorn, Jenna Grace Bacorn, Logan Roby Roudybush, Makenzie Sue Roudybush and Aubrey Roby.
Private family services were held at the Markwood Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Lancaster officiating. Interment was held in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
