Raymond Eugene “Ray” Cummings

     Westernport, MD - Raymond Eugene “Ray” Cummings, 67, of Westernport, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

     Born on October 28, 1956 in Bloomington, MD, he was the son of the late Robert and Leona “Ellen” (Teets) Cummings.

     Ray graduated from Keyser High School, Class of 1975 and was a United States Army Veteran. He was a former supervisor of Washing, VAC and Blasting for MPW Industrial Services. He was a member of Piedmont Church of God and former member of the McCoole Fire Department. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time at the river fishing and hunting. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

     Left to cherish Ray’s memory are his children, Craig E. Cummings and wife Jeannie, Dylan J. Bonney and Noah Cummings; his grandchildren, Mike Weasenforth, Travis Cummings and Hunter Cummings, his two sister, Christine Amtower and Sharon Marusich and his special goddaughter, Amber Cook.

     Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00pm with Reverend Charles Henry officiating. Interment will be held in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser with full Military Honors accorded by the U.S. Army National Honor Guard and the Keyser America Legion Honor Guard.
