Peter Delmore “Pete” Hartman

     KEYSER, WV - Peter Delmore “Pete” Hartman, 78, of Keyser, went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2024 at Moran Manor, Westernport.

     Born on February 6, 1946 he was the son of the late Glen L. and Phyllis B (Likens) Hartman. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 21 years, Betty Lou (Paugh) Hartman and his sister, Janice Martin.

     Pete graduated from Keyser High School, Class of 1964. He retired as a Maintenance Technician for Family Dollar Distribution and was a former employee of the Anchor Glass Plant Company. A faithful member of the Grace United Methodist Church and  a member of the Masonic Lodge Davis #51 AF & AM, Keyser, Damascus Commandery #23 Knights of Templars and Keyser Chapter #19 Royal Arch Mason. He will be fondly remembered for his kind heart, big smile and contagious laughter and missed dearly by all who knew him.

    Left to cherish in his memory are his loving sister, Charlene Blamer and his stepchildren, John R. Hefner, Jr. & wife Cynthia of Hampton, VA, Jeannette Renee Holland and husband Timothy of Virginia Beach, VA, Jenise Rachelle Jackson of Keyser and Bonnie Jean Hefner of Mt. Storm who referred to him as Poppa Pete.

     Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Pete Hartman to the Grace United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 40, Keyser, WV 26726.

     Friends will be received on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the Markwood Funeral Home from 2:00 -4:00pm and 6:00 -8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Lahmansville Cemetery.
