Odessia Roselee (Tephabock) Smith

     KEYSER, WV - Odessia Roselee (Tephabock) Smith, 90, of Keyser, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Complete Care of Dawn View Nursing Home in Fort Ashby, WV. 

     Born on July 31, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William Maynard Forrest Tephabock and Violet Pauline (Brown) Tephabock. She is also preceded in death by her son, Edward Lee Hartman, Jr. and her sisters, Mildred Tephabock, Shirley Tephabock and Carole Sue Tephabock.  

     Odessia retired as an Inspector for the Anchor Glass Company and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. 

     Left to cherish in her memory are her loving husband, Peter Artur “Pete” Smith; her son, Micheal E. Smith; grandchildren, Mickella-Andria A. Westerfield, Adina-Michelle A. Carico, Jemma R. Smith and Jaxon E. Smith; great-grandchildren, Aria J. Westerfield, Arrietty O. Carico, Nicco J. Westerfield and Clive A. Carico; brothers, Donald R. Tephabock and wife Rita of Fort Ashby and Forrest Glen Tephabock and wife Bonnie of Hartmansville and her sister, Nancy L. Thomas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Potomac Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel at 11:00am with Reverend Lauren A. Godwin officiating. 

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
