KEYSER, WV - Norman Ray Kight, 79, of Keyser, and winter residence of Florida, died on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL.
Born on June 3, 1940 in Keyser, he was a son of the late Charles and Anna (Day) Kight. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Betsy J. (Anderson) Kight on October 17, 2007; brothers, Charles E. and Donald Kight and his two sisters, Wilma J. Crites and Mildred “Midge” Wells.
Norman graduated from Keyser High School, Class of 1959, a retired Boilermaker at Local 45 in Richmond, VA and a United States Army Vietnam Era Veteran. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Loyal Order of the Moose #662 both of Keyser, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie in Cresaptown, MD and Kelly Mansfield Post #52 American Legion in Piedmont, WV and enjoyed playing Bingo.
Surviving are his son, Jason Kight and wife Joella of Morgantown, WV; a granddaughter, Jenna Kight; his brother, Joseph Kight and wife Dottie of Cresaptown, MD; two brothers-in-law, James W. Anderson of Keyser and Sandford, FL and James Wells of Ohio and a sister-in-law, Carole S. Feaster of Shepherdstown, WV. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the current restrictions, a private family service and interment were held in Potomac Memorial Gardens. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
