Norma Lee (Gillaspie) Sullivan, a kind and sweet lady, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at the Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.
Her life was a blessing her memory a treasure…she is loved beyond words, and she will be missed beyond measure by her family.
Norma was born on February 17, 1936, in Williamsport, WV in Grant County to the late Burlin W. and Emily J. Gillaspie. Norma is preceded in death by two infant children, her husband, Raymond P. Sullivan, Jr., three brothers Kenneth, Glenville, Darrell and her stepchildren, Cathy and Dennis Sullivan.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Teresa F. (Davis) Clouser and one grandson, Charles L. Clouser Jr., and his wife Jodi of (VA); daughter-in-law, Linda Sullivan (MD); Georgette & Tom Golden (FL) and Pat & Mary Sullivan (MD); Ashlie (Sullivan) Rivera and Paul S. Sullivan who were raised by Teresa. She is also survived by her brother, Harold Gillaspie of Mt. Storm, WV.
Norma was married to Raymond P. Sullivan, Jr. and together they raised four of his seven children. She was very blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Norma cherished the large family she was blessed with.
Norma was originally from Mr. Storm, WV and she attend Bayard High School, Bayard, WV. Norma lived and worked most of her life in Virginia. After retiring, they moved to Charlottesville, VA. Norma enjoyed cooking for her family, canning, gardening, reading, and her beloved dogs Jack and Thomas.
Norma was a devoted member of the Nelson United Methodist Church in Arrington, VA where she helped with the food pantry and attended Sunday school.

A Celebration of Norma’s life will be at 1:00pm Saturday, October 23, 2021, at the United Methodist Church in Mt. Storm, WV. Pastor Rebecca Bennett officiating. Friends and Family can also attend her viewing from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Following the church service, the interment will be at the Mt. Storm Cemetery. The family is requesting mask wearing and social distancing.
