Melvin Lyle Messenger
KEYSER, WV - Melvin Lyle Messenger, 95, of Keyser, died on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Potomac Valley Hospital.
Born on January 3, 1926 in Terra Alta, WV, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Lois E. (Bucklew) Messenger.
Melvin graduated from Keyser High School, Class of 1944 and was a United States Army WWII Veteran. He was the Former Co-Owner of Custom Floor in LaVale, MD and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his loving wife, Patricia Anne (Tepper) Messenger; his children, Frank Messenger, Judy Mitchell, Gerould Messenger and wife Carrie, April Weasenforth and husband Ricky, Karen Bowman and husband Rick, and Steven Capaldi and wife Bennadette. He is also survived by his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Markwood Funeral Home on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 11:00am – 1:00pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00pm. Interment held in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
