Mary Alice Kesner

Mary Alice Kesner (née Cook), born on April 3, 1938, in Cumberland, Maryland, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, in Keyser, West Virginia. She was 88 years old.

Mary was the beloved wife of Loy Frank Kesner and a devoted mother to her children: Brenda S. McDonald; Robin D. Hymes and her husband, Bradley E. Hymes; and Larry McDonald. She was also a cherished grandmother to Raymond R. Mellon II and a proud great-grandmother to Rylie R. Mellon and Raymond F. Mellon.

Born to the late Owna Cook and AnnaMae Coleman Cook, Mary spent her life dedicated to creating a loving home for her family. Her warmth and compassion touched all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, all services will be private.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
