Lorenzo Carlisle Grubbs
KEYSER, WV – Lorenzo Carlisle Grubbs, 91, of Keyser, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
Born on February 25, 1932 in Keyser, WV, he as the son of the late Georgia Marion (Simmons) Chapman. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara M. (Stanhagen) Grubbs of 66 years.
Carlisle was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an army veteran and served during the Korean War. He retired from Westvaco as a supervisor. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving is his daughter, Karen Barrick and husband Howard; sons, Steven Grubbs and wife Kathy and Brian Grubbs and partner Marie; a sister, Joretta Clark of FL; brothers, Gerould Grubbs and wife Darlene and Vernon Grubbs and wife Rita of Keyser; sisters-in-law, Catherine Cuppett and husband Stuart and Linda Lupis and husband John and his twelve grandchildren, Andrea Barrick and partner Larry, Brent Barrick and wife Meredythe and Carrie Barrick, Joshua, Michael, Ryan and wife Amanda, Garrett and wife Rebeca and Allyssa Grubbs, Jesse Grubbs, Brian Grubbs and wife Kelly, Ashley Barker and husband Dave and Brianna Dobbs and partner Justin. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, WV.
