     KEYSER, WV – Linda Kay Gardner, 75, died on Monday, December 12, 2022 at her residence.

     Born on July 16, 1947 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Gardner, Sr. and Joline (Liller) Gardner. She is also preceded in death by her brother, James E. Gardner, Jr. and his wife Phyllis. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

      Linda graduated from Jacksonville High School, NC, Class of 1965 and was a devoted homemaker and mother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

     Surviving are her three sons, Edward Allen Coston of Keyser, WV, Gregory Lee Coston and wife Michelle of Leland, NC and Michael Wayne Coston and wife Heidy of Jacksonville, NC; her six grandchildren and her five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece, Frankie Lynn Bachelor and husband Jay; nephew, James E. Gardner, III and wife Ivy and several extended family members.

     The family would like to thank Mountain Hospice for the outstanding service and care they provided.

     Friends will be received on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the Markwood Funeral Home from 6:00 -8:00pm. A private service and inurnment will be held in Queens Point Cemetery.
