     Keyser, WV — With a heavy heart, we remember and honor the life of Josiah David Robinson, 19, of Keyser, WV, who departed this life on Sunday, June 9th, 2024. Born on October 7th, 2004, in Vallejo, CA, Josiah was the cherished son of Everett Robinson, Shannon and Billy Meek. He was the beloved grandson of Frances Jones and Kathy Meek.

     Josiah was a proud graduate of Keyser High School, where his talents and passions shone brightly. He worked at Dairy Queen, US Cellular, and Sealed Air, and was pursuing a major in mechanical engineering. Known for his impeccable style, Josiah expressed his creativity through various artistic mediums. From tattooing, forging his own knives and swords to working with foil, clay, and petals he transformed into paint, his artistic range was boundless.

     An avid soccer player, Josiah also earned a black belt in karate at the tender age of nine—a testament to his discipline and dedication. His legacy extends through his loving family: brother Joseph Redman and sister Breanna Wilmer of Keyser; sister Sarah Meek of Keyser; nieces JoSera Redman, Angel Redman and Brantlea Wilmer; nephew Judah Redman; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who admired and adored him.

     Affectionately called "Siah," he was the heart and soul of his family. His mother fondly referred to him as “Josiah, my love”, and always reminded him during their prayers that he was the best part of her. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Josiah's kind and caring nature touched many lives, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him.

     Preceded in death by his Nana Dorothy Scott and his grandfather Harry Meek.

     Josiah's memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

     Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of Josiah’s life to be held at the Emmanuel Church at Keyser, 231 Newton Street, Keyser, on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12 noon. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
