Joseph FOX Wilson Jr.

Joseph Fox "Fox" Wilson Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, in Frostburg, Maryland. Born on February 22, 1944, in Keyser, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Joseph F. Wilson Sr. and Rosa (Kenny) Wilson.

Fox proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his military service, he built a career as a truck driver with Spencer Trucking, where he worked diligently to provide for his family and contribute to his community.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Wilson of Piedmont, West Virginia; his former wife, Olive (Moragne) Wilson of Maugansville, Maryland; and his children: Kimberly (Wilson) Johnson of Hagerstown, Maryland; Joseph F. Wilson III and wife Gwendolyn of Bridgeport, Connecticut; Antonio Fagan and wife Brenda of Cumberland, Maryland; and Joseph Meade of Cumberland, Maryland. He also leaves behind stepchildren D'Andra (Hawk) Wilson (Kelley) of Gloucester, Virginia, and Justin M. Hanlin. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Fox was a beloved brother to Russell Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, David Wilson, Charles Wilson, Rosemary (Wilson) Renz, and Alisa Santiago (Louis). His legacy continues through his 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Jason F. Wilson; a brother, Richard Wilson; and a grandson, Jason F. Wilson II.

A man who valued family above all else, Fox's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His dedication to his loved ones and his steadfast work ethic left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Markwood Funeral Home with Bishop Kenneth Watkins, Sr..
