John Samuel Arnold

     KEYSER, WV – John Samuel Arnold, 85, of Keyser, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Rudy Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

     Born on March 18, 1937 in New Creek, WV, he was the son of the late John Sloan and Eva Jane (Logsdon) Arnold. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Doris R. (Turner) Arnold and son, John “Jay” Arnold. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

     John retired from Westvaco in 2004 as a Weighmaster and was a member of the United Paperworkers Union. He was a Pentecostal by faith, and had a passion for cutting firewood.

     Surviving are his loving wife, Donna Jean (Carr) Arnold; Mark J. Arnold and family, Christopher J. Arnold and family, Charles Carr and family, Brenda Eye and family and Sherri Arnold and family. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

     In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Arnold to the Cornerstone Ministries, 21228 Queens Point Road, McCoole, MD 21562.

     Friends will be received on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Markwood Funeral Home from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00pm with Ronald Little officiating. Interment will be held in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
