Joanne L. Knott born on September 13, 1935, died on March 27, 2026, at Potomac Valley Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mary Ann Weaver McLaughlin and Harold McLaughlin. Joanne was Pentecostal by faith and loved her Lord.
Joanne celebrated her 90th birthday in 2025 and loved life, especially cutting up with anyone who would participate. She was a resident of Keyser Healthcare Center for the last several years and enjoyed playing Bingo, making crafts and socializing with her meal table crew. Joanne retired from the West Virginia Department of Human Services after many years working there. After retirement, she worked for the Aging and Family Services until her health no longer allowed.
In addition to her parents, She was predeceased by 1st husband Paul E. Kuhn Sr. and 2nd husband Paul Knott, her son, Mark Randall Kuhn, her brothers Arthur McLaughlin and wife Hanna, and Luther McLaughlin and her nephew, Brian Todd McLaughlin.
Joanne is survived by her sons, Stephen B. Kuhn and Jeffrey S. Kuhn and wife Kelley, her daughter in law, Dawn Kuhn; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Kuhn and wife, Amie, Jessica Rae Dunning and husband Sean, Katherine Anne Kuhn and Fiance’ Seth Gray and Ashley L. Preston and husband Ebert; her great grandchildren, Greyson Scott Kuhn, Maddison Rae Pontis, Julie Grace Dunning and Remy Daygan Kuhn; and her brother Blain H. McLaughlin and wife Brenda.
Joanne’s family would like to thank the staff of Keyser Healthcare Center for their loving care of “Miss Joanne” and particularly Diane Hickle, Mary Beth Stahlman and volunteer Linda Oates .
At her request there will be no viewing, and memorial service will be held at a later date.
