Jo Anne Keplinger
KEYSER, WV – Jo Anne Keplinger, 85, of Keyser, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Moran Manor in Westernport, MD.
Born on February 23, 1938 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late Harry Henry and Mary Margaret (Pieper) Keplinger. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert W. Keplinger, sisters, Helen M. (Richard M.) Smith and Jeanne M. (Blakely V.) Shingleton; her nephew, Jon B. Shingleton and her niece, Anne Marie (Shingleton) Alsoleibi.
Jo Anne retired from the G.C. Murphy Co. as a "merchandiser" (36 years) and the Dollar General (8 years) and was a faithful, lifetime member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Keyser, WV. She enjoyed reading, photography, music, movies and the out-of-doors. Even after losing her vision for the last 5 years of her life, it never stopped her from enjoying life to the fullest, as she was always upbeat, joyful, and always happy and smiling. Jo Anne really enjoyed attending the G.C. Murphy lunches, as well as the K.H.S. Class of 1956 dinners. She loved her Lord, Family, Friends and, her most recent dogs, "Susie" and "Frannie", and cat "Maggie". Jo Anne will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Surviving are her sister, Mary Lynn Clower and husband Ralph of Romney; her nieces and nephews, Susan Smith, Nancy Shingleton, Mike Shingleton, Tom Smith, Dave Clower, Eric Clower, Steve Clower and Brian Clower, and one of her dearest and closest friend of 50 years, Phyllis DiUbaldo, who spent many days with Jo Anne on her final journey. Jo is also survived by her many cousins, her great as well as great-great nieces and nephews and her closest friends.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Calvary United Methodist Church, Keyser from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm with Reverend Beth Jacobson officiating. Interment will be held in Queens Point Cemetery, Keyser.
