James Robert “Jim” Lambert

     It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Robert “Jim” Lambert on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Keyser Healthcare Center at the age of 78.

     Born on January 28, 1946 in Grafton, WV, he was the only child of the late Robert and Jaunita (Newhouse) Lambert.

     Jim graduated from Grafton High School. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired from the CSX Railroad in Management. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, whose love for his family knew no bounds and Methodist by faith. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

     Left to cherish in his memory are his loving wife, Mary Clara (Dorsey) Lambert; his children, Terry Lambert, Bobby Lambert and wife Christine, Jimmy Lambert; two step-children, Hanne (Brantner) Lunday and Mark Brantner; his grandchildren, Dylan Lambert, Jacquelyn Lambert, Gunnar Lunday and wife Rachael, Matthew Lunday and Sarah Lunday. He is also survived by his great-grandchild, Hezekiah Lunday.

     In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of James Lambert to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.

     In respecting Jim’s wishes, a private family service and committal will be held with interment in St. Thomas Cemetery.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
