     KEYSER, WV – James F. Rice, 84, of Keyser, died on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Potomac Valley Hospital. 

     Born on June 9, 1937 in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late William G.D. and Hazel Florence (Fanto) Rice. 

     James graduated from the Tri-State Beauty Academy and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a retired Beauty Salon Manager for Sac Fifth Avenue in Chevy Chase, MD and Jazz drum player.

     He also lived in Alexandria, VA, Glen Echo and Florida and was a member of the Antique Automobile Club. He had a collection of Pontiac Cars and won many awards for his 1969 Pontiac Blue Catalina Convertible. James will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

     Surviving are his daughter, Brenda Tittle and husband Brad of Naples, FL, his grandchildren, Shawn, Alex, Morgan and Alyssa Tittle; his sister, Nancy Ann Knight and husband Charles F. of Keyser and niece, Jennifer Ann Knight of Newark, DE.

     Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00pm. A private interment and committal service held in Queens Point Cemetery, Keyser.
