James Lynn Fisher
KEYSER, WV - James Lynn Fisher, 76, of Keyser, died on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at his residence.
Born on July 15, 1946 in Keyser, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Fisher and Margaret Lee (Beale). He is also preceded in death by his son, Brian Christopher Fisher and sister, Janice Lee Paugh.
James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. A stellar student, he graduated in 1964 from Keyser High School in the top 10% of his class. He was a Vietnam War Veteran who served in the United States Navy from January 25, 1967 to May 24, 1971 and retired as a Superintendent for the Water Filtration Plant, Keyser. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his loving wife, Linda Ann (Offenburger) Fisher; his children, Kevin Fisher and Teresa Fisher and companion, Mack Wilson; his grandson, Tyler Ritchie; daughter-in-law, Michele (Lewis) Fisher and her son, D.J. Hamilton. He is also survived by his nephews, Troy Paugh and James Paugh; great-nephews, Zachary Paugh, Jonathon Paugh and wife Sharonda and Aaron Paugh; great-nieces, Bethany Baumgartner and husband Jarrett and Elizabeth Paugh and husband Jonah Hertz; great-great nieces and nephews, Faith and Luke Baumgartner and Moxley Paugh; his cousins, Gene and Betsy Fisher and faithful canine companion, “Allie”.
In respecting James’ wishes his body will be cremated and a private family service with inurnment in Potomac Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
