Jacqueline Sue Amtower

     KEYSER, WV – Jacqueline Sue Amtower, 68, of Keyser, died on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland.

     Born on February 25, 1954, in Keyser, she was the daughter of Melvin Lewis Pritts, Sr. and the late Dorothy Lee (Davis) Pritts. In addition to her mother she is also preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Lewis “Buddy” Pritts, Jr.

     Jacqueline graduated from Bruce High School, Class of 1972 and earned her AA degree at Allegany Community College. She retired as a Lab Technician after 42 years and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Piedmont, WV. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

     In addition to her father, Melvin Pritts, Sr., of Westernport, MD, she is survived by her son, Christopher Shawn Amtower of Keyser; a sister, Patricia Fitzgerald and husband Berry of Westernport and her former husband, William Allen Amtower. She is also survived by her Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

      In respecting Jacqueline’s wishes, her body will be cremated and there will be no public visitations or services.

    Memorial Contributions may be made in honor of Jacqueline Sue Amtower to the UPMC Western Maryland Schwab Family Cancer Center at 12500 Willowbrook Road, Cumberland, MD 21502.

      Arrangements have been entrusted in the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
