KEYSER, WV – Herman Lee Casto, 94, of Keyser, died on January 24, 2020.
Born on May 14, 1925 in Spencer, WV, he was a son of the late Forrest and Alice Casto. He is also preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Darnell) Casto; children, Ronal Casto and Patricia Regal; a brother, Ben Casto and his sister Wilda Montgomery. He is the last surviving member of his immediately family.
Mr. Casto was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a Truck Driver, Mechanic, Business Owner and he will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Surviving are his children, Michael Casto and wife Shirley of Keyser, whom his resided with for 13 years and Larry Casto and wife Sharon of Pasadena, Maryland; his grandchildren, Brian Casto and wife Jennifer of Maryland, Jameison Riegel, Nathaniel Armentrout and fiancée Rebecca, Jonathan Armentrout and fiancée Ivy of Keyser and Ashley Trenton of Frederick, MD; three great-grandchildren, Theresa Riegel, Tyler Riegel and Anderson Armentrout. He is also survived by two very special lady’s Donya Shugars and Deloris Spiker.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to his CNA and Nurses from Mountain Hospice, whom were great caregivers to our father and very comforting to us all.
At Mr. Casto’s request, his body was donated to the Human Gift Registry of WVU.
