Harold Garnard Viers
KEYSER, WV – Harold Garnard Viers, 82, of Keyser, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 31, 1942 in East Rainelle, WV, he was the son of the late Arthur G. and Ruth G. (Ruffner) Viers.
Harold graduated from Rainelle High School, Class of 1960 and retired from Westvaco paper mill. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Keyser Presbyterian Church.
He was a loving husband of 57 years to his wife, Becky and father to his twin girls whom he adored. He enjoyed being in nature and surrounded by beautiful things, he loved taking photos, woodworking and antiques. He also enjoyed cycling and was a member of the Western Maryland Wheelmen Club.
Left to cherish in his memory are his wife, Rebecca Catherine “Becky” (Moyer) Viers; daughters, Michelle Denise Cook and Danielle Elise Viers; granddaughter, Tori Cook; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Williamson and his two brothers, David Viers and Ronald Viers.
A Celebration of Harold ‘s life will be held at the Keyser Moose on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 2:00pm. Inurnment in Queens Point Cemetery will be held at a later date.
