Gerald C. “Jerry” Fraley
Keyser, WV - Gerald C. “Jerry” Fraley, 86, of Keyser, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
Born on November 15, 1937 in Keyser, he was a son of the late Lillian Virginia Fraley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann (Nyman) Fraley on July 29, 2019 and a daughter-in-law, Keli Fraley.
Jerry graduated from Keyser High School, Class of 1957 and was the 12th recipient of the J. Edward Kelley Award. He retired as a Millwright from Mead Westvaco after 40 years and was a United States Marine Veteran. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 662, VFW Nancy Hanks Post #3518, American Legion Boyce Houser Post 41 and J. Edward Kelley Society. He was a football coach and an avid hunter.
Left to cherish in his memory are his children, Gregory S. Fraley, Julie Williams and husband Pete and Christopher M. Fraley and wife Tammy; his brother, Claude “Buddy” Ridings and his sister, Betty Sweitzer and husband Sherman and his grandchildren, Cameron Fraley, Tyler Fraley, Justin Kuhn, Evin Williams, John Michael Fraley, Taylor Fraley, Cassidy Fraley, Jacob Fraley and Christian Fraley. He is also survived by his five great-grandchildren, C.J. Fraley, Elizabeth Kuhn, Hayden Williams, Daniel Fraley and Jonathan Kuhn. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

The Family will receive friends at the Markwood Funeral Home on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 2:00-4:00pm & 6:00-8:00pm with a Loyal Order of the Moose memorial service starting at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the funeral home at 1:00 pm with the Pastor Randy Crowe officiating. Interment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens where military honors will be accorded by the United States National Marine Corps Honor Guard and the Keyser American Legion Honor Guard.
