George "Fred" Frederic Wilson, 77, of Keyser, West Virginia, passed away on June 1, 2026, at Keyser Health Care.
Fred was born in Cumberland, Maryland, to the late George E. "Pete" Wilson and Effie M. Sears. He pursued higher education with dedication, earning a Bachelor’s degree from Shepherd University and a Master’s degree in Education from West Virginia University.
Fred devoted his career to teaching in the Mineral County Public School system. Over the years, he made a lasting impact on students at Keyser High School, Frankfort High School, and Elk Garden Schools. His commitment to education and his students’ success left an enduring legacy in the community.
Fred is survived by his cousins Howard Barrick his family and very close friends too numerous to mention.
Friend’s will be received at Markwood Funeral Home Tuesday, June 9, 2026 from 10:00 am –11:00 a.m. with a celebration of Fred's life at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Oakley Jr. officiating.
