Gary Lynn Simpson
KEYSER, WV – Gary Lynn Simpson, 68, of Keyser, died on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his residence.
Born on December 24, 1953 in Keyser, he was the son of the late Lynn H. and Nellie Mae (Urice) Simpson. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Gene H. Simpson, Sr.
Gary graduated from Keyser High School and was a Meat Cutter for Wayne’s County Fresh Meats. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and an avid Hunter, Fisherman and outdoorsman. He attended the Calvary United Methodist Church and will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Surviving are his loving wife Billie Lynn (Alkire) Simpson; sister, Virginia “Ginny” Wingler of Keyser and sisters-in-law, Sally Alkire and Sharon Myers and husband Mackie. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Markwood Funeral Home from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00pm with the Reverend Wayne Gosnell and Reverend Beth Jacobson officiating. Interment will be held in Queens Point Cemetery, Keyser.
