Gary Eugene Bacorn, Sr.

     New Creek, WV – Gary Eugene Bacorn, Sr., 77, of New Creek, died on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

     Born on March 12, 1944 in Keyser, WV he was a son of the late Vance L. and Mary Loretta (Rotruck) Bacorn. He is also preceded in death by his son, Gary Eugene Bacorn, Jr. and his sister, Karen Richardson.

     Gary graduated from Keyser High School, class of 1961 and was a Tourman with Westvaco. He was a member of Dawson United Methodist Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose Chapter #662 in Keyser. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his best friends at Cranberry Wilderness.

     Surviving are his wife, Charlotte Jean (Haines) Bacorn; his children, Robert Vance Bacorn and wife Cynthia, Todd Alan Bacorn and wife Amanda, Keith Edwards Taylor and wife Martha, Kevin Eugene Taylor and Deborah Lynn Lutz and husband Marvin; his brother, Wayne C. Bacorn and wife Becky; daughter-in-law, Lorie Bacorn and his brother-in-law, George Richardson. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.

     Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2:00pm with Pastor Mike McGowan officiating.  A private committal will be held at a later date.
