Floyd William “Billy” Detrick, Jr.

     KEYSER, WV – Floyd William “Billy” Detrick, Jr., 56, of Keyser, died on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland, MD.

     Born on June 21, 1966 in Oakland, Maryland, he was the son of the Late Floyd W. Detrick, Sr. and Dorothy Jean (Ours) Detrick Cole. He also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Jean Kahl.

     Billy attended Garrett Community College and served as Chaplain at Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly.  He Volunteered at Potomac Valley Hospital and the Piney Valley Nursing Home during his free time. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

     Surviving are his loving wife, Carolyn Dianne (Foster) Detrick; his sister, Judy Ann Fazenbaker and husband Roy, Sr. of Friendsville, MD; brother-in-law, Jack Kahl and his niece and nephew Amanda Sweitzer and husband Michael of McHenry, MD and Roy Fazenbaker, Jr. and wife Becky of Friendsville, MD. He is also survived by his great-nieces and nephew, Austin Fazenbaker, Destanie Fazenbaker, Morgan Sweitzer and Alyssa Sweitzer.

     Memorial Contributions may be made in honor of Floyd William Detrick, Jr. to the Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly, 231 Newton Street, Keyser, WV 26726.

     The family will receive friends at the Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 10:00am to noon.  Funeral Services will follow the visitation at noon with the Pastor Randy Leatherman, II and Pastor Donna Leatherman officiating.

     Arrangements have been entrusting to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.

     A private interment will held in Garrett Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
