Dorothy Elaine Turbin

     Keyser, WV - Dorothy E. Turbin, 95, of Keyser, WV, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Hampshire Center, Romney, WV.  

     Born on March 30, 1927 in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late Henry Robert "Jack" and Rose Alice (King) Jackson.  She is also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Edmondson Turbin on January 24, 2001, her daughter, Rosalee Goldie Arthur, brothers, Darrell, Earl and Paul Jackson, and sisters, Helen Bishop, and Faye Grogan.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

     Dorothy was the former Owner of the Steak Pit Restaurant in Keyser and lived in Baltimore, Maryland for some time before moving to Ocala, Florida in 1981 where she stayed for a few years after her husband passed and returned to her home in Keyser.  

     Dorothy was a faithful Christian and showed that in everything she did, reciting the Word of God and in the unconditional love she showed to everyone around her.  She was an amazing quilter. Dorothy will be dearly missed by her family and friends.  

     Surviving are her loving children Brenda Barb and her husband David of Elkins, WV, Terry Turbin and his wife Debbie of Baltimore, MD, and Joseph Turbin and his wife Robin of Brunswick, MD and her grandchildren Kevin Hare, Benjamin Hare/Barb, William Barb, and Andrew Barb, and great grandchildren Garrett Hare, Owen Hare, and Avery Barb; granddaughter Jonald Shroyer and husband Matthew and their children, Azaria, Rosalie, and Jude;  grandson TJ Turbin and wife Carla and their children Joel and Abigail; grandson Jeremy Turbin and wife Kelly and their child Allen;  grandson Jarrod Turbin and wife Tarin and their children Aiden, Ashton, and Landon, and granddaughter Laurie A. Paugh of Romney, WV and great-grandchildren Nae R. Paugh III (Robbie) of Morgantown, WV, and ReNae Paugh of Romney, WV.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Sonshine Fellowship, 225 S. Woodwell, Baltimore, MD  21222.

     A "Celebration of Life" will be held for Dorothy on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., Graveside Service, at Queens Point Cemetery.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to Markwood Funeral Home of Keyser.
