Diana Lee (Dayton) McCoy
KEYSER, WV – Diana Lee (Dayton) McCoy, 76, of Keyser, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at her residence.
Born on May 1, 1948 in Westernport, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roy Edison Dayton and Mary M. (Michael) Dayton. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Dayton.
Diana was a beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a devoted homemaker. She was a former seamstress for the Keyser Garment Factory and was a member of the Sunnyside Covenant Brethren Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Left to cherish in her memory are her loving husband Donald Andrew “Donnie” McCoy; her children, James “Jimmy” Shrout of Keyser and Colleen Gillaspie and husband Paul of Burlington; her brother, Harold “Buck” Dayton and wife Donita of Cresaptown, MD; her granddaughter, Brooke Evans and husband Dylan of Elk Garden and her two great-granddaughters, Mia and Rubi Evans. She is also survived by her two step-sons, Rusty McCoy and his children, Jake and Paige McCoy and Andy McCoy and wife Christy and their children, Laci, Taylor and Avery McCoy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Diana McCoy to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 756, Osceola, WI 54020-0756.
Private family graveside service and committal will be held in Potomac Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
