David Martin Vaughan
KEYSER, WV – David Martin Vaughan, 71, of Keyser, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Potomac Valley Hospital.
Born on July 7, 1952 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John Daniel and Myra Maria (Ahlers) Vaughan.
David graduated from Parkersburg High School and worked as a Unit Tech for 2 years. He retired as a Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman for the United States Navy after serving 26 years. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Left to cherish David’s memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Doris Kay (Linkswiler) Vaughan; his daughters, Kimberly Michelle Furey and husband Scott and Christine Renee Taylor and fiancé Billy Wilt; brother, Deon Andrew Vaughan and wife Julie of Corona, CA and seven grandchildren, Christopher Scott Furey, Matthew David Furey, Andrew James Furey, Madyson Nikole Rayner and fiancé Ashton Tuel, Aidan Derek Smith, Lacie Brooke Taylor and Austin James Taylor and his great-granddaughter, Ellie Reese Tuel. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Cindy Dunk and husband James and their children, Elizabeth, Josh, Rebecca, Caleb and Alicia.

Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 11:00am-2:00pm. Funeral services will held at the funeral home following the visitation at 2:00pm with Reverend Lauren Godwin officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Navy National Honor Guard. A private committal will be held in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
