   KEYSER, WV – Darlene Joan Davis, 80, of Keyser, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital in Cumberland, MD.

   Darlene was born on September 20, 1941 in Westernport, MD to Larry and Helen (Teets) Mayhew.  She is also preceded in death by a son, Hollie; 2 brothers, Junior Mayhew and Ray Mayhew and 5 sisters, Juanita O’Haver, Olive Broadwater, Helen Palmer, Shirley Liller and Beulah Butler.

   She is survived by her husband of 58 year, Allen Davis;  a daughter, Peggy Miller and husband Dean of Keyser and 5 sons, Gary Arthur and wife Toni of Winchester, VA, Randy Umstot and wife Sonya of Cumberland, Joseph Davis and wife Peggy of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jeffrey Davis and wife Karen of Keyser and Jason Davis of Keyser; a brother, Gerald Mayhew and wife Anna of Fort Ashby, WV and a sister,  Judy Gordon and husband Harvey of Keyser. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021 from 12:00 noon -2:00pm at the Markwood Funeral Home, 111 S. Mineral St., Keyser, WV with a Memorial service immediately following with Pastor Robert Fazzalore officiating. Interment will be in Bloomington Cemetery, MD.

     In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
