Constance Jean “Connie” (Tribett) Courrier
Williamsburg, VA - Constance Jean “Connie” (Tribett) Courrier, 87, formerly of Keyser, West Virginia passed away peacefully in Williamsburg, Virginia on August 18, 2024.
Born on September 7, 1936 in Wheeling, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frank “Dutch” Tribett and Doris Buzzard Tribett McDonald. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest A. Courrier Jr.; brother, Charles Tribett and her sister, Sally Giffin.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim and husband, William Thorn, daughter, Kelley and husband Richard Peets, son, Ernest Courrier and wife Vicki. She was grandmother to nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Connie loved the Lord and took great pleasure spreading the good news of our Savior Jesus Christ. Throughout her walk with Christ, she was involved in many Outreach Ministries, Altar Guild, Gideons, Prison Ministry and taught Sunday School.
After graduating from Keyser High School, Connie married her class sweetheart Ernie who whisked her away after enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Although Connie spent 23 years relocating around the country as a military wife her heart and soul were always in Keyser. After her children were grown, she worked as an Assistant Buyer for a Decorator in Northern Virginia and loved helping others decorating their homes during the holidays Her hobbies included, painting, reading, music, travel, entertaining, playing the accordion, and watching Mountaineer football and basketball games. The past couple of years Connie thoroughly enjoyed getting together in Keyser with her former PHS High School friends of +70 years who referred to themselves as “The Golden Girls”.
Being with her family was her greatest joy. She loved getting the family together each year at the beach. If asked what her greatest achievement in life was, she would refer to scripture 3 John: 4 “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth”.

Friends and family will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 1:00 -2:00pm. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00pm with Pastor Lauren A. Godwin officiating. Private inurnment will be held in Queens Point Cemetery, Keyser.
