Brenda “Marlene” Feaster
New Creek, WV – Brenda “Marlene” Feaster, 80, of New Creek, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 20, 2022 after a long struggle with congestive heart failure and diabetes.
Born on September 22, 1942 in Keyser, WV and grew up in Westernport, MD. She was the daughter of the late Maurice “Elwood” and Dixie Evelyn (Hershman) Schell. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years James Ray “Jim” Feaster, Sr.; daughter, Garlene Bosley and one infant great-granddaughter, Brylei Adelle Ketterman.
Marlene was a loving Mother, Grand, Great, and Great-great Grandmother and a devoted homemaker. She loved to help out with the children’s groups and enjoyed crochet, reading, going shopping, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed the beach which was her happy place. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the past 40 years and a former member of the Lauderdale Homemakers Club and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving are children, Pam Dulyea and James Feaster, Jr.; six grandchildren, Heather Ketterman, Patience Burke, Virginia Hott, James Feaster, III, Shannon Vandenbergh and Kevin Yelton; sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 6:00 – 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11:00am with Archie “Bill” Self officiating. Interment will be held in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
