     KEYSER, WV – Beth Ann Grayson, 63, of Keyser, finished her race on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Potomac Valley Hospital after a battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

     She was born on February 6, 1960 in Cumberland, MD.  Beth was preceded in death by her father, Donald C. Grayson, Jr., her mother, Helen E. (Mowbray) Grayson, her sister, Dawna Lynn Day and brother-in-law, Kelly Day.

     Beth was a 1978 graduate of Keyser High School, attended Potomac State College, AA degree from Allegany College, BA degree from West Virginia University 1992 and Altoona Hospital School of Anesthesia for Nurses 1995.  She was a former Nurse Anesthetist at Cumberland Anesthesia and Pain Management, Inc. and the Western Maryland Health System/UPMC.   

     She is survived by her sister, Valerie Lechliter of Somerset, PA; her brother, Donald “Chet” Grayson III and wife Barbara “Barb” of Keyser; her nephews, Dr. Michael Day and wife Lael of SC, Daniel Day and wife Constance Douglas “C.D.” of Short Gap, Nathaniel Grayson of NC and Simon Grayson of Ashburn, VA and her great-nephews, Channing and Orion, Kai, Taj and Koa.

    A Celebration of Beth’s Life will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11:00am with Pastor Beth Jacobson and Don Stephens officiating. The family has requested that everyone attended the Service please wear Christmas Attire in honor of Beth.

     Arrangements have been entrusted to the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser.
