Anne Baker Stickley
KEYSER, WV- Anne Baker Stickley, 86, of Willow Brook Estates, died on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Charlotte’s Home in Boonsboro, MD.
Born November 28, 1934 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Joanna C. (Baker) and stepfather, Arnold S. Lyon. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ray “Toby” Stickley, Sr. on July 28, 1998 and was the last member of her immediately family.
Anne was a graduate of Keyser High School and Honor Society class of 1952 and attended Potomac State College. She was a Doctor’s assistant for Dr. Ambrose and Dr. Orbetta. A former member of both the Fountain United Brethren in Christ Church and Burlington United Methodist Church, were she was active in the churches Bell Choir, Music Committee, Women’s Club and played the organ. At the time of her death she was a member of the Keyser Assembly of God. She also was a volunteer for Community on Aging.
Surviving are her children, Ray T. Stickley, Jr. and wife Margie M. of Hagerstown, MD, Michael K. Stickley and wife Joanne E. of Keyser and Mark S. Stickley and wife Betty H. of Moorefield, WV. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Chris Stickley and wife Cindy, Andy Stickley and wife Samantha, Eric Stickley and fiancée Julie, Paula Shafer and husband Blake, Kelsey Stickley, Joshua Stickley and wife Michaela, Alex Stickley and Taylor Stickley and her 11 great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contribution may be made to the Committee on Aging, 875 S. Mineral Street, Keyser, WV 26726 and Charlotte’s Home, 212 Maple Ave., Boonsboro, MD 21713 in honor of Anne (Baker) Stickley.
Private family services will be held at the Markwood Funeral Home with the Reverend Gwen Wolford officiating. Entombment Potomac Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
