Allyson S. “Ally” Warnick
Gerrardstown, WV - Allyson S. “Ally” Warnick, 24, of Gerrardstown, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born on May 1, 2001, she was the beloved daughter of Susan E Holderby. She was also raised by her grandfather, Wilbur C. Holderby. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Carolyn S. (Dettinburn) Holderby.
Ally was a 2019 graduate of Keyser High School and was employed by Ecolab Company as a line operator. She was a very kind soul and had love for everyone. She had a particular love for animals, especially her dog “Cocoa” and her cat “Star”. She loved music, movies, make-up and most of all spending time with her nieces and nephews who meant the absolute world to her. Ally had a great sense of humor and could always light up a room with her jokes and smile. She was the glue for her family, the peacemaker. She will be deeply missed.
Surviving in addition to her mother and grandfather are her sisters, Sarah E. Holderby and significant other Cody Hunt, Teresa M. Samuels and wife Heidi; her brothers, Brandon and Jared Warnick; beloved nieces, Emily and Ella Hunt and her beloved nephew, Jordan Hunt. She is also survived by her special cousins, Cody, Heaven, Laney, Jack Rodeheaver and wife Ginger and their two children, Runa and Rowan and her best friend, Mackenzie Smith.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the Markwood Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00pm. A Celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 4:00pm. In respecting Ally’s wishes she will be cremated after services.
