Alice Faye Russell

     KEYSER, WV – Alice Faye Russell, 80, of Keyser, went to see her Lord and Savior at 5:00pm on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Potomac Valley Hospital.

Born on December 29, 1940 in Piedmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Flora (Jones) Shipman. She is also preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 46 years, Edwin M. “Eddie” Russell on February 17, 2005; her sisters, Flora Mae Pownall and husband Donald and G. Eloise Smith and husband John; a brother-in-law, Calvin Alt.

     Alice graduated from Keyser High school, Class of 1958 and was the former CEO of REA Pizza Distributions, Inc. of Joe Corbi’s Pizza. She was a member in the Fountain United Brethren in Christ Church, Women Mission Scholarship Program, Mineral County Historical Foundation, North Branch Lions Club, the Women in Christian Service Foundation, the church Women’s Christian Group and the James Isaac House. She was a former member of the Keyser Rotary Club and the Fountain Ruritan Club.

     Surviving are her children, Rev. Dr. Jeffery C. Russell and wife Robin, Kathryn J. Berry and husband Dennis, both of Edenton, NC and Charles Russell and wife Dianna of Keyser; her grandchildren, Nicole Minnick and husband Jeremy, Jacqualine Erb and husband Daniel, John Russell, Jared Russell and wife Heather, Jinger Hickman and husband Mark, Autumn Russell, Logan Russell and Victoria Russell and her sisters, Norma Alt, Judy Weaver and husband Dowaine, Edie Hinkle and husband Bob, and Krista Guyer. She is also survived by her six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    Friends will be received on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Mineral Baptist Church, Keyser from noon – 2:00pm. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00pm with the Reverend Kris A. Lengel and grandson, Reverend Jared Russell officiating. Interment will be held in Mineral Baptist Church Cemetery.
