Virginia Lee “Dutch” Welton
KEYSER, WV – Virginia Lee “Dutch” Welton, 91, of Keyser, WV, died Monday, June 4, 2018 at Dawnview Center, Ft. Ashby, WV
Born Thursday, June 24, 1926 in Piedmont, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Rhoda (Chaney) Kenealy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James R. “Dick” Welton, Sr. on March 8, 2015; her twin brothers, Elwood and Ellsworth Kenealy and two sisters, Maxine E. Marconi and Elva Jean Lamberson.
Dutch retired from CSX Railroad as a clerk and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her son, James R. Welton, Jr. and his wife Helen of Martinsburg; her daughter, Linda Dayton; her sisters-in-law, Janice Pepersack of Severna park, MD and Patsy Kenealy of Westernport, MD; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A graveside service and interment will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm in Potomac Memorial Gardens Chapel, with the Reverend Wayne Gosnell officiating.
