Joan Easterly Obituary

KEYSER - Joan Mercedes (DeWeever) Easterly graduated from life and rose to heaven on July 9, 2018.
     Joan, along with her husband Garland "Skip" Easterly Jr. (deceased) owned and operated the Western Auto store on Armstrong St. in Keyser for many years. Afterwards, she provided much needed help to hundreds of area residents through her second career as a Social Worker for the state Social Services office in Keyser.
     She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church.
     Joan is survived by one sister, Mae Duurloo of Shreveport, Louisiana. Another sister, Carol Hassler preceded her in death in January. Joan was a kind, gentle and loving mother to son Allen Easterly and daughters Hazel Floyd and Shari Reuschel. She equally loved six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
     Her cremated remains will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Thomas Cemetery following a mass of Christian Burial at Church of Assumption Catholic Church on Friday, August 17, 2018 at noon.   Offers of condolence can be made as a Memorial Donation to your local Alzheimer's Association.
